THAT CRAVING’S GONE

Appetency according to Merriam-Webster dictionary is a fixed and strong desire. Desires are one of the strongest human emotions that requires a lot of self-control and  a level of contentment to dispel. Recall, a child who is being weaned by his/her mother. The moment the baby cries for food; He/she doesn’t consider what time it is: noon or day or midnight. The baby doesn’t even want to know if the mother is sick or healthy, in the mood or not, whether in pains or otherwise. The child cries till that desire is met. His eyes are fixated on the breast as he sucks delightfully.

You could say the child is just being a child. Extremely selfish, insensitive and inconsiderate. Your assertions are quite right. I want to also inform you that this is exactly true when you give heed to those ungodly cravings – those rancid habits you engage in. You don’t have an idea of how many people and things you hurt directly or indirectly. I don’t need to spell it out but you know that unique craving that you cannot do without.

James, a professor in Medicine who is a chain smoker, who can hardly live without his cigarettes. Daniella, a 3rd year undergraduate student who cannot sleep alone or must be with a sexual partner before her eyelids can close up. John, a CEO in a large corporation who is engaged in an awkward entanglement with another woman who’s not his wife. Harrison, who does not give a job offer if he has not unbuckled is belt and had a ‘good time’ with the female applicants. Dennison, who is a serial cheat, rampaging about from one girl to another. Jeremiah, who is a choir leader in church but cannot refrain himself from pornography and masturbation. Angela, the Stargirl in clubhouses who was once a good church girl. Deborah, the slay mama who cannot do without her many sugar Daddy escapades. Sandra, the colossal pretender, whose emblem is a fake lifestyle.

As many more that exist and really if you do fall in any of these categories or any such that concerns you. I want you to imagine that that craving’s gone. How would you feel? What would you do? How would you really survive? You will be just fine. Submit today to an higher authority. The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous runs into it and he feels safe. The sin-sick soul can run into the tower too and be safe, that’s if you promise not to return to that craving. I really wish you took some time to surcease from those habits. You can! Ask for God’s grace. God bless you.
