Don’t Blame Them

I had the opportunity to have a discourse with a few teenagers in my church over the weekend. What I can conclude is: if you don’t teach them, don’t blame them. You may think they know, they really don’t even know”. These young folks believe that much access to information is same as knowledge or correct application of such information. What an hyperbole!

One thing that saddens my heart is when young teens don’t have a relationship with God already. I told them, “Its a good thing to have friends but the best friend to have is God”. Truth be told, other friends can betray, lie, disappoint but God will never.

A business relationship with God is the best ever, your investment and interest are securely guaranteed. No risk can deter your rewards. The risk attached is to fully surrender your thoughts and will to Him. You may not like every of His plans and desires but they are the best. If you follow through meticulously, success is inevitable.

Young teens want to explore the world, technology and the environment around them. In doing so, they must be cautious. You can aim to get to the apex of your career, learn a lot about all the fascinating discoveries and innovations of the world. Distinguishing what God wants for a young Christian and what the devil wants is very vital. Hence, the need for a relationship with God.

I further asked a question. “If your Dad calls with a different number, would you know if he’s the one calling?” No, they all responded. I continued “If you hear his voice afterwards, will you be able to identify the caller”. The yes was resounding. Only a conscious and cordial relationship with God can make you recognize His voice. When you do hear His voice, obey!!!

You need a super power, higher being to direct and guide on this pathway of life, that’s the true essence of this all-important relationship with God. He never fails. God never owes anyone. He does not betray. God is not a man. He is the omnipotent, all-seeing, all-knowing, the alpha and omega, he knows your past, present and future.

Today, if you open your heart to Him, surrender your past life. Ask for mercy. Seek pardon at His feet. He will forgive. He will save. He will make you His own. He will make your heart His abode. Thereafter, you’d enjoy all the benefits of being in love and in a great relationship with God.
