Acts 17:28 – “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being”
What a perfect innuendo!! This verse touches down to the core of the true knowledge of God. I believe if we can reflect well on this passage, the eyes of our understanding will receive a gross illumination.
Have you ever considered where you would be if not for God’s grace? Have you pondered what your life would look like if God had left you? Did you think for a moment that you would live a good life if God had given up on you.
We sure don’t take time to think deeply, that’s why our level of appreciation is quite low. Our major focus has always been why has God not done this or that? Let me ask differently, what of the things He has done, especially those you don’t deserve. Have you asked why He has done them?
As per proving that He is God, He has passed that test over and over. When it comes to faithfulness and promise delivery, He has never failed. Just imagine God fails you for once at that point when you needed him most, think of how much that would shatter you. Yet, we fail him, toss him away, spite Him, play tricks with Him, disappoint over and over, fail again and again but He never gives up on us.
Our God is a great God! He’s the one who has made it possible for all our organs, cells, tissues and sytems to function properly. He’s ensured that we make somewhat progress in our lives. We have our existence through Him. It doesn’t take Him long enough to get rid of us. However, His grace has miraculously sustained us. We owe Him our lives as Christians.
We must take time to appreciate this God immensely. Earmark at least 20mins daily to give Him thanks for all that He has done and for those He would do. In Phil 4: 6, Paul admonished us, ‘Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.’
This morning, I stumbled on one of my prayer request list (a lengthy one) from last October and surprisingly God has answered every one of them. That’s how far we don’t realize how much He has done for us. Take a break from your daily request and reminisce on your past requests, appreciate Him for answers to prayers and for all He has done.
I am particularly grateful for every single thing He has done for me. I am whole because in Him I live, I move and in Him I have my being. I hope you are too? What a mighty God!!!
