“You’d be a great accountant!”
This statement was first echoed by my primary school class teacher. And later by Mom, while I ran her petty trade. I loved the commitment and my passion my brother has for Accounting too.
It was a no-brainer to pursue what I was passionate about. Courses on Business studies, commerce and Accounting deepened my interest.
The finance world has been exciting, intriguing and challenging. I’ve had to learn, unlearn and relearn certain processes, policies, and procedures. Indeed, catching up with the latest insights, prospectives and dynamism has been great.
At a time, I read a book titled The industries of the future by Alec Ross. “Data is the new oil” has to be one noble line that stuck with me.
Currently, I am learning about SEO, Data, Data analysis and it’s interactions with Financial Statements. I took up courses in Microsoft PowerBI and SQL, which have made me a well rounded finance professional.
I enjoy writing well, and I consider this a great privilege to carry you along on my career journey. I would let you in on the latest in the finance world, data mining, IFRS and updates from ACCA, SEO, and personal development.
