Trudy Goody, is a very sound professional who works in a big multinationals. He stays in an highbrow part of the city. Trudy has worked really hard to achieve the success and name he has made for himself. He came from a poor background where the literacy rate is low. In his hometown, he’d probably be the amongst 30% with a quality education and a good job.
Trudy decided to head home (his hometown) for the weekends, one day to pay a visit to his parents. As he drove, his tyres hit a sharp objects that punctured them just around the corners of his street. Thankfully, he was able to swerve the vehicle and park it without any hurt. Surprisingly, a handful of men, who were deemed touts and hoodlums “agberos” approached and offered to help. He was amazed and terrified at the same time because it was late in the night.
One of the men, spoke assuredly in pidgin ‘Boss, no fear, na you dey always show us love those times na, e get one time wey you dey pass wey you drop 1000 and I be dey very hungry. You don help us too for this life, make we assist you‘. They fixed the tyre in a matter of seconds, checked other part of the cars. They helped in every way to make him comfortable to continue his journey. That day, he didn’t give any money but the kindness he had always shown paid off.
